REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEES

2010 Online Registration Will close on Dec. 10 or when a total of 1500 have registered for the race. That could be before Dec. 10.

The 2010 Official Entry Form available here. Entry Form may be reproduced. Make check payable to the Huntsville Track Club. Entry fee is non-refundable. The HTC reserves the right to reject any entry and to offer special invitations. A USATF number (Card) is required only if you accept open prize money. Limited to 1500 (approximately 900 started in 2005.) Entries not accepted will be returned. This race has a six hour time limit.

6 Hour Time Limit: The Rocket City Marathon will record and publish times up to 6 hours and 5 minutes, but after that time no runner will be counted as an official finisher of the race and the finish line timing equipment will be removed.
     In keeping with this time limit and to insure the safety of runners, anyone slower than this pace at the following intermediate points of the race will be offered a return ride to the Holiday Inn (the race start point). Those refusing the return ride will be asked to return their race number and sign a liability release form before continuing.
              5-Mile Mark: Anyone slower than 1 hour and 9 minutes
            10-Mile Mark: Anyone slower than 2 hours and 18 minutes
            15-Mile Mark: Anyone slower than 3 hours and 27 minutes
            20-Mile Mark: Anyone slower than 4 hours and 35 minutes

Teams: Husband/Wife & Parent/Child teams, no additional fee for teams, each run entire race.

Entry Confirmations: Entry confirmation is by E-Mail, canceled check, entry list on the web site, or Information Book mailed third class mid-November and is not forwarded. If address changes, notify us at 256-828-6207. Send SASE marked "Confirm" if special entry confirmation is desired.
